The Cocktail Cart Curator with Society Social!

I was so honored when Roxy from Society Social asked me to be their next “Cocktail Cart Curator” for their Social Diary blog! I met Roxy a few months ago officially at an event we co-hosted together in DC for Tuckernuck and she is as sweet as can be!

My inspiration for this bar cart encompasses one of my favorite celebrations to host; a Spring brunch! Whether it’s Easter Sunday or just a sunny-filled April Saturday afternoon, these are my essentials in putting together a casual, yet elegant-like brunch with close friends. From grocery shopping with my tote and prepping in the kitchen to mixing rose-orange mimosas with striped straws in heels, you’ll find me enjoying every minute of it. Hopefully this inspires you to do the same!

Here & There: Lisi Lerch + Giveaway

Today is a big day for H&T – first, I am super excited to team up once again with one of favorite IRL (in real life) blogger friends, Julie (of Julie Leah: a life & style blog) for our “Here & There” series.  Secondly, today marks my first outfit post!

I’ve always been a little hesitant to post do outfit posts or styling on H&T but when Lisi Lerch wanted to team up with the two of us; I just couldn’t resist! Perhaps this will be the beginning of these!

I styled a pair of earrings from their new Jenny collection in white and gold. They are so darling and really dress up any outfit. I also am super fond of the adorable tassel earrings from her line (can I have one in every color?). I paired the Jenny’s with what I would consider the perfect Spring transitional outfit (scroll down to see how you can enter our giveaway!)

Normally by now, I am frolicking around in sundresses and sandals. However, it’s still a little chilly in DC so midi skirts have become my go-to item. A few weeks ago, I was pairing this exact skirt with black tees/crop tops, a leather jacket and leopard pumps. I switched it up a bit and wore a lace top and open toed sandals this past weekend once it finally started to feel like April.

Earrings: c/o Lisi Lerch  // Skirt: H&M (similar styles here) // Top: Ann Taylor Loft (similar here) // Shoes: BCBG (similar here) // Monogram Necklace: DKM // Heart Necklace: Vintage (similar here) // Sunnies: Anthropologie // Pearl Drop Bracelet: J.CREW // Hat: J.CREW // Paws: OPI Pink Flamenco

You can also enter to win our Lisi Lerch giveaway this week – the winner will get to pick any item from the new Spring/Summer collection to take home!

make.my.monday: tuckernuck spring arrivals

courtney

Whether it’s online or in the Georgetown Pop-Up Shop, Tuckernuck is one of my favorite retailers for both ladies and gents apparel and accessories.

Today’s “Make.My.Monday” features my picks from Tuckernuck’s Spring arrivals and also, my roomate, Courtney (that’s her above)!

How gorgeous does she look and how amazing is that flamingo top?

Happy #Tuckernucking!

NYFW in DC

Well it’s the start of NYFW (New York Fashion Week for those that don’t use abbrevs) and I am uber jealous of all my fashion blogger BFFs who are headed up to NYC this week or who reside there year-round. However, I cannot wait to follow along on instagram!

For those of you who also can’t be in the front row up in NY and who happen to reside in the DC area, the W hotel is putting on some fabulous innovative events so you don’t have major FOMO like I would…

H&T Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

I don’t really believe in the typical Valentine’s Day celebration…I know that “every girl says that” but truly, I never have been one to want a dozen red roses (I prefer other flowers, sorry) or an overdone fancy dinner on February 14th.

However, that certainly doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be shopping for your BFF, sister or even yourself – so alas, here is my official gift giving guide for 2014.
